Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Indeed. I didn't quote the original post, but Guy said they need a 125kW and 147kW version for testing.

            The 147kW TSI is a 2.0 litre, isn't it?

Not 1.4, AFAIK. And turbo only, not s/c as well.

            Picky, picky, picky....

Is the software research a way to GET 147kW out of 125kW???

Now I'd like to see that...

Getting 147kw out of it is easy - its the method of programming & program switching we are working on

Geez, what an opportunity! I'd nearly trade the TDI for a TSI just to be a part of this! Now there's a thought....

I can't believe someone hasn't put their hand up yet!

do you all think he's gonna light the thing on fire and laugh out loud (otherwise known as LOL) while it burns to the ground.

the least someone could do is go to VW in Brissy, take a TSI for a test drive and drive straight to Guy

So are you shooting for more than 147? (yes, you have my full attention )

And as long as it doesn't end up costing $100/kW...

Perfect opportunity for someone to be involved with the development and I know that Guy would honour any problems without a fuss, not that there should be.
