Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Anyone in Adelaide have a Vag-Com

    Just had my car serviced and requested an adjustment to the corrected speedo value. VW mechanics refused to do. Sympathetic to the reason and admitted having many complaints, but have been advised by someone in VW that they are not permitted to do it.

    I was wondering whether anyone in Adelaide has a Vag-Com (with Can bus) so that I can adjust my corrected speedo value. It annoys me that it is so far out.

    Explanation of what I want to do is in http://my-gti.com/page/2 under heading Volkswagen Speedometter Error Correction.

    Any assistance would really be appreciated.
