Unrepairable puncture! Need 1 x ContiSport 2!

Hey guys,

I've got 1000kms on the clock, and picked up a roofing screw right on the edge of the sidewall

I got a temporary used tyre on there at the moment, but does anyone have a ContiSport 2 (245/45/17) they want to sell me in Sydney ??

Or if not, how much $$$ would I be up for to get one from a tyre place and any recommendations?

Nathan, if you do end up buying a new one, get some tyre insurance as well. its only around $8 per tyre, and will cover replacement under your circumstances - well worth it!

Where about are you in sydney?

I got mine replaced for 330, but my size is 225/40R17.

sorry nath you're out of luck, thats the type of thing that needs to be replaced pronto presto so you'll just have to fork out the dosh! that being said, find a smaller independent tyre dealer for a better price.

does it have to be a new Conti? You could replace both tires on that axle for $330 at a good independent tyre place as Mischa suggested.

I got one last saturday... pirelli rosso 17/45/235 for $250 each fitted and balanced... tempe tyre...

My missus has hitted gutter.. one of my front tyre damage...

They recommend if the car is fitted with ESP that you must have 4 tyres the same for it to operate properly given the different levels of grip generated by different tyres.

Im gonna stick to that one, and rotate my tyres at each service just to be safe..
