had my service done yesterday and got my satnav system installed.
didn't put in the camera as i have a white jetta and thought the huge black camera would just look awful.... besides... figure i already have the reversing sensors so wouldn't need the camera.
all up it cost me $455, with genuine vw parts and oils etc.
first impressions of the satnav unit is good.. ipod connector works (with wifes iphone it changes to ipod only.. no phone usage whilst plugged in) haven't tried it with a normal ipod as yet. fudged our way around the menus (without looking at the manual of course) to play some songs. seems easy to use.
used the satnav today for the first time.... (using tom tom) is more accurate than i thought it would be... shows up street names as you near them, can be set to show police, hospitals, petrol stations etc etc.... its also good how you can change the voice on the unit as i would hate to be stuck with some of them, they'd get annoying real quick.
