Urgent!!after replace FERODO 2500, the brake light always on~ even unplug the sensor.

Hey everyone, I have a very urgent question! Just replace the Ferodo front and rear pads today, after that, the brake light always on, the people from workshop unplug the sensor, said all the ferodo pads can not contect the sensor, but the brake light still on, he has checked the brake oil, and installation work..everything, Just can not get rid of the light. Can anyone tell me what is going on? When you replace the new aftermarket brake pads.. Is it like mine as well? How to solve the brake light problem? Thanks, I will be waiting here for the answers. By the way ,the job has been done from V-SPORT MELBOURNE.

Is it possible that the problem is with the brake light switch, not the pad sensors ? Or do you mean the pad warning light in the dash ?

yes, I mean the pad warning light in the dash. because the Ferodo ds2500 does not have wire sensor.. so there is no way to connect it. and after set up the pads the light on the board just keep on.. can you tell me how to solve this?

Shorting out the pins on the connector (where the pads would connect if you had pads with the connection) will make the car think everything is fine.

If the car is expecting a signal from the pad sensors then the only options I can think of are:

1 Ignore the "worn pads" warning light

2 Disable the warning light

3 Do a wiring fudge to supply whatever the car expects from the pad sensors (possibly a connection to earth which is broken when the pads get nearly worn out ?).

I wouldn't recommend 1-3 because you are disabling a useful safety feature that is designed into the car, and a future operator/owner may not know that it no longer works.

4 Get some pads that do have built in wear sensors compatible with your car.

Anyone got any other ideas ?

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but sometimes (motoring) life is like that.

Personally I would have done option 4 in the first place, but what I have suggested above is option 3.

The connector only has two pins in it, when the circuit is a short the car thinks everything is normal, when it is open circuit the car thinks the pads are worn and brings up the warning on the dash.
