The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. OK..I tried AdvanceAlloyWheels.... There is no way they can get it back to the original shade and shape. So they reckon me to buy a new one...Hm..too bad..

Wow, they said that? Harsh... How about you post up a pic of the gutter rash? There are a few wheel guru's on this forum who I'm sure will be happy to offer some advice that will be easier than replacing the wheel

the problem with R32 wheel is that the side of the wheel is machined, not the same material and color as the wheel itself, thats y you can't (or it is very hard) to fix

AdvanceAlloyWheel told me to make the damage looks less noticeable by painting both front and rear wheels on the left side to total silver.
08' R32 WHeels are diffferent from GTI's is that they have a machined ring at the end part of the wheel..I'll try to post up photos..
So i decided to purchase a new Wheel ( call me stupid but i just can't stand the feeling of a brand new car with a curbed wheel which can't be fixed). The damage is $650 (already included 10% discount card),

Rim curbed - Replacement & Stupid Service

The Part department in Barloworld Glen waverley was kind of stupid...I told them and showed them my '08 R32 needed a wheel replacement and ordered it. They said they would give me a call as soon as it got here. BUT they didnt until 2 days later i called them back and they told me it already here..
When i got there on tuesday, they gave me the '06 wheel and said it will fit on my car which i just want to f**k them up. I asked that guy to come out and have a look at my car, he again told me that would fit (He wasn't joking).Sorry to be rude but i just want to give him a bunch. So after a bit of angry face showed, they finally agreed to order a '08 wheel.
Finally I had to go back there on Friday to get my wheel and this time it was correct.
Those salesmen were supposed to know what they are selling, don't they?

No, you are not being stupid. I understand exactly how you feel because I've had the same thing happen to me. You just want to get the "new car feeling" for a reasonable time and you are prepared to pay for it.

This comes down to what I keep saying about VW Australia. They are marketing great cars, but their customer relations and marketing in general are just crap.
