Just pair your new phone, no deleting necessary.

thought i read (back when i could find my manual) that you could only have up to 8 find connected. Since the old phone is gone thought i might as well delete it.

any instructions on how to pair my new phone? i cant remember...

Just search for bt devices on your phone then when it finds the cars bt, pair it, enter passcode, usually 1234 or 0000.
        Thats it.

I can't seem to pair my Nokia 6085?!?!?!
Salesman paired my iPhone during hand over (as I bought my nice new shiny Tiguan 147TSI)... and it works seamlessly...
but for the life of me I can't pair my work Nokia?!?!!

I try double tapping the phone icon on the steering wheel... when stationary, or I read that the bluetooth pairing is automatically going for the first 5 mins the car is turned on...

but searching for the VW bluetooth fails to show it?!?!?!
I don't even get any "beep" to acknowledge that after I double hit the phone button on the steering wheel that it is indeed 'discoverable'?!?!?!

            Any help / ideas available?

                Dealer fitted...
when I asked the dealer I think he said it was the Nokia one...

                irony eh?!
iPhone paired perfectly - but a Nokia phone won't!?!?!

Anyone else paired with the standard bluetooth ($700 type not premium)...
do you press the phone icon twice and hear a beep?
I noticed in the instructions holding the phone button down (on the steering wheel) for over 10 secs is meant to wipe all phones (which I don't want to do - as I'd loose my iPhone pairing).

I've played a bit - tried even selecting the phone button on the side of the RCD510 head unit... before I've hit the steering wheel button twice... still to no avail.

don't mean to insult with a basic suggestion, but are you 100% sure that your nokia phone's bluetooth is on and set to discoverable??
have you tried searching the other way around (finding the kit from the phone instead)...

phone bluetooth is on and discoverable...
but it never sees the VW UHV.

The only way I have tried is on the phone looking for VW UHV - like the salesman did with my iPhone in the dealer.

I wasn't aware there was a way to do it from the VW UHV (VW Bluetooth)?
I don't have the premium bluetooth - so I don't see anything on the RCD510 when I use my iPhone.

dont press the phone button at all on the steering wheel.
turn the car on and do a search on your mobile...

                      see if that works.

sounds like you have the basic parrot kit...
sometimes with kits like these you need to press a special button sequence to put the kit into bluetooth pairing mode...
I am not sure if this is the case, but you may want to try and find the official manual for the bluetooth (possibly online) or by contacting the dealer...

Ok so I tried just sitting in the car:
key turned - but not so the engine started...
didn't push any buttons in the car - and it couldn't see the bluetooth system.
(it could see one of my computers at home though - so I guess the bluetooth in the phone is working)...

then I started the car - stationary - and tried to pair the phone - again without pushing any buttons...

tried both to Pair Device, and to Add Audio Enhancement on the Nokia phone.

                          all to no avail.

THe manual provided says you are meant to push the phone button on the steering wheel twice quickly - and you will hear a confirmation beep (which I've never heard)...

Don't believe my system is one of the parrot ones... as VW have swapped to Nokia units I was told.

I clearly have bluetooth installed as my iPhone works in the car via bluetooth. Is all a mystery!?!?!?!
