Hi all, just wondering if anyone has located a supplier of aftermarket LED headlights for a Golf5? There was a mob down here in Victoria that stocked them but they have been out of stock for ages. Wanting the complete drop-in assembly.
I have a GOLF GTI Mk5 and installed supernova lighting front LED headlights. They are very much generic and pretty much all r32/ Zenón look alike assembly’s come from the same factory in China. I have run into some serious plastic oxidising (not clear coat) this is fairly typical as I’ve found I’ve needed to replace aftermarket headlights every 2-3years. What I would recommend is buying the OEM Hella r32 headlights which are proper quality and would last a lifetime before deteriorating and yellowing, interns of making them work you will need VCDS/ Vagcom and select Xenon as a option
Yes technically however pretty much everything by these days aftermarket doesn’t comply to ADR Standards. It’ll still be safer then stock and I’d assume you’ll have the knob to adjust the height of your headlights which is important to not blind other people. I still recon you should play it legal and safe and buy the OE Xeon hella headlights and just code them in
