  • What's in a MK5 200km service?

    Hey there!

My mechanic has said it's time for a 200km service and rightly so. I wasn't aware such a service existed - very vague of me.

I'm wondering what I am in for? What are the belts, oils, parts etc that should be included in a 200km service? And, what are the price points if possible too please?

He's a navy Jetta MK5, FSI 2L 6 speed petrol and worthy of the money. I'm super excited about the transformation my Jet is having over the coming weeks and months.

    Thanks in advance. [emoji847]

    Hey Sarah,

Hopefully your mechanic is a VAG specialist, they should be able to give you a full list of what you're in for. I am not sure about pricing, but in terms of what's involved... I have attached pictures of what my logbook says services should include. The logbook belongs to a MK5 Golf GTI, but I don't imagine it will differ to your Jetta. It will at least give you an idea of what is involved for each service interval.

    Hope this helps.

      It'll either be a 195K service, or 210K.

The intervals are 15K between services.

195K is a basic service, whereas the 210K is a timing belt.

Oh ok, he's talking timing belt and other belts, including engine mounts.

          Thank you. [emoji120]

              Heya [emoji137]

Are you asking me the question?

Since the first post I have had COVID, three times over, still not flash. I have not dropped the car off at the workshop. Hoping to in the next couple of weeks.

What parts are you looking for?

My VW 'Jet' is an Australian edition, RHD MK5 6-speed FSI 2L petrol sedan. If compatible, what are you after? I do have odd MK5 parts and trims in storage for Justin (just-in-case).
