Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    VW GOLF 5 badge

    Hi Kids

    My girlfriend recently had her VW badge stolen off the back of her GOLF 5. We are desperately looking for new one...however VW quoted us approx $400 for the whole lock...which we dont want. We only want the chrome badge which clips onto the lock. Does anybody know where i could get one of these without paying $400 for something i already have...

          Yep...looks like they are easy to pinch.....was stolen in her driveway (chadstone VIC). So .. about it....

            Hang on.. isn't the VW badge on the back the boot handle, and doesn't it have a pretty sturdy connection?

            I'd imagine if it was ripped off the connectors might be busted too..
