Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

you talking about the phaeton 20' ones? no car was sold here with them so you're most probably gonna have to import them.

wheel weight is different to the weight on the rest of the car. its drivetrain loss because the heavier the wheel, the more torque needs to be applied to turn it. so by increasing the weight of your wheels by lets say 10kgs will have a far greater effect on the power of your car than carrying a 10kg bag in the cabin.

you'd probably notice a drop in performance. effects on the drivetrain with regards to wear and tear would be negligible. you could always keep your stock set of wheels/tyres and get these as your going out shoesOriginally posted by VWR.3.2.GONE View Post

There was a set in Australia up for sale. I don't remember where else it was advertised (I have a feeling they may have been advertised on this forum) but they were on eBay for a while, and not for cheap either. That said, they look bad-ass and are definitely worth it, look-wise!Comment
