Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

They look like Toureg wheels ... Not in a good way either. Do you have a picture of an R with those wheels on it?80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html

wheel weight is different to the weight on the rest of the car. its drivetrain loss because the heavier the wheel, the more torque needs to be applied to turn it. so by increasing the weight of your wheels by lets say 10kgs will have a far greater effect on the power of your car than carrying a 10kg bag in the cabin.

I can get the helios rims but theyre not cheap now that the aussie dollar has headed south. Youre probly looking close to three grand for a set. I was very close to getting a set for my car until I come across my current rims cheaplyLast edited by Tim; 06-10-2008, 07:20 PM.

There was a set in Australia up for sale. I don't remember where else it was advertised (I have a feeling they may have been advertised on this forum) but they were on eBay for a while, and not for cheap either. That said, they look bad-ass and are definitely worth it, look-wise!
