  • Is it possible to modify GTI rear bar?

After doing some research into doing the quad exhaust on the GTI it seems that the price for a quad exhaust, and rear bar (which needs to be painted) it getting up around $4000.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to modify the stock rear bumper to accommodate the extra pipe on the right hand side?

Would is be as simple and making physical space for the extra exhaust tips or is there other structural stuff on the rear right hand side that would get in the way of the new exhaust?

Obviously I don't want to hack it up myself but I'm wondering if it would be possible to take it to take it somewhere to get it modified professionally?

If someone has some good ideas that are possible to achieve, I'll get it done and be the test subject with photo evidence to post up!

Any ideas how I could do it?

quite a few people have modified the stock rear valance by just adding a cutout on the right hand side. Thats really your only obstacle. There is an australian guy at golfmkv.com who has done it. Although the site seems to be down at the minute so i cant find the photos.
