Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • polarFIS for half height cluster

    Hi,
I was wondering if there was an equivalent to the polarFIS that works for the half gauge cluster?

I'm in the same boat mate.

Not the answer you are after but you could upgrade your head unit to an Android unit and run torque or any other app that will connect to your obd port to get the same live diagnostic data

        Get a full height cluster.

They aren’t expensive anymore and Julian on here can do the remote key work as well.

Not sure if you need a Highline CECM though

Funnily enough, I am selling a full height R32 cluster with a new LCD screen

As you can see it’s missing a silver ring and the fuel gauge glass is cracked, but they can be swapped over if you have an R32

                I drive a TDI.

I got this because it was considered dead but I managed to get it fixed
