  • 24M3 Golf GT Recall Campaign

Just got my 2007 Golf GT back after the 24M3 recall. There appears to be no noticable differences with how the car drives - a bit smoother if anything.

You will notice a difference with the boost gauge if you notice these things. Basically, I believe the gauge now shows actual boost and does not flick around between high and low as much. For example, at idle blipping the throttle does not cause the boost gauge to flick up as before.

the supercharger wouldn't wake up while driving in certain conditions - cold external temps. I'm booked to have it done tomorrow.

Also your boost gauge won't look like it's on crack after you have it done.

Personally (and I'm not sure if I'm imagining it) mine doesn't feel quite as smooth on take-off - it almost lurches a bit now. It may also feel a little 'rougher' - but maybe I'm just getting used to it now. Dunno.

Boost gauge does seem a bit more accurate - less elastic

I'll see how it feels on the way home in terms of roughness, but it worked very smoothly up the freeway on-ramp back from the dealer.

had the car a year nearly. I had my recall done about a month ago. I have noticed that the boost guage is much more "true" to how you drive. My DSG is less twitchy - that could be because I / it has adapted. I have not had that sensation of where has all the power gone sometime associated with a grinding noise (not in a bad mechanical way) that had happened prior to recall. Usually when asking for a bit more grunt when dawdling along. Also have alot more control going up the steep hill slowly as I turn into our driveway - could just be me, but I think it was the recall,
