  • 3.5mm audio jack question?

My mate has an 06 Gti and wanted to get an IPOD adapter ($240), but apparently the 08 gti and r32 have an inbuilt 3.5mm jack. Can this be fitted easily and cheaply? If so would a VW dealership in Perth do it? Any idea of cost

i have a Feb 08 GTI bought from VW Ossie Park. Have been arguing with them over whether the AUX jack should have been fitted as standard. They called yesterday to say that they could not even get a part number for it from the VW warehouse in Sydney...There are a few aftermarket options which work just as well. I'm going to order one online. take a look at www.denison.com.......Anyone out there bought/installed a product from this mob?

Yeah was looking at them for myself as they display artist and track title. Just found out that it needs a stereo with fibre optics otherwise track/artist can't be displayed and the 08 Golf doesn't afaik. So you can only have 5 playlists of 99 songs each.
