VGA will have released them to dealers as from next week sometime, haven't seen any yet but will let you know when I do. Talking about 1.5 to 2.0 hours to fit

There are dealers and dealers. I suspect there is some collusion in regard to the fitting of accessories and modifications (or maybe VWA sets prices) but it's a competitive environment so go out and bargain.

Just got one fitted before delivery of my new Polo TDi. Was around the $200 mark, and it's quite a nice little gadget. Have been testing it out thoroughly, and it's far better than juggling CDs all the time.

I got one fitted to my Golf last year. Have to admit i was a little disappointed with it being somewhat restrictive in its use. For example, you cant just scroll to an album on your iPod and play it. It works off your playlists (they have to be numbered sequentially 1-5 to coincide with the CD number you select on the head unit). It's great from the perspective that you don’t need to lug a box of CD's around and also that the sound quality is superb.

I've seen an iPod adaptor in the Audi Q7 and it is much more user friendly - even lists artist, album and song in the Sat Nav screen (which is what i was expecting from the VW).

Nonetheless, if you do alot of country driving when you're out of radio frequency - it's perfect.

I too have the VW ipod adapter - Got it thrown in when i bought the car.

I was getting a car kit installed the other day by www.thecarkitcompany.com.au and he asked about it and how much i paid for it. He was saying that the VW adapter is not the best and that the ones he sells you still have control over the IPOD when it is connected.

His price is $395 installed - not sure how it compairs to the VW price but it has more functionality

Hi All,

I'm on the way to oreder an iPod interface but I'm hesitating between the DICE and the Dension one. Does anybody have one or the other? what are the advanteges/disadvantges of them?

The DICE handles text as the Dension doeas on the Cluster?
