  • Turbo R32 - anyone on here?

Was up at TCCA Artarmon this morning. I had, for the first time after 11 years of car ownership, kerbed one of my alloys. Did a good job on it as well

Anyway, Milan from TCCA mentioned they were working on another MK5 R32, which amongst the usual suspension and wheel upgrades, was getting turboed! Milan quoted 280kw and over 500nm of torque. Anyone on here? I want more details (and photos)!

x2, doesn't seem like that much for 44k.

I mean its a fair bit of power, but for the price..

EDIT: I naturally assumed this was flywheel power, if it's ATWK, that's alot..

If its 280kw at all 4 wheels of useable reliable power, with all other upgrades like clutch, gearbox and brakes etc, its probably pretty good 'value'.

I mean I wouldn't do it, I topped out at about $18k spent on the last car and that was over the top. That or I got old...

Don't jump to conclusion's about the price, until you hear it first hand from the owner or Milan.

Just remember that just because you spend more money doesn't necessarily mean you get power figures that resemble the the $'s on the the check.
It could also be not just about power, but rather a complete package.

I'm sure there are a heap of other variable's that go into eg. Labour.

Take into consideration if it's having a complete package put together. Is the engine, tran's, haldex, brakes, suspension, wheel's etc all getting upgrade's.

                  European car's are expensive thing's to upgrade. There not a $10K 500+hp upgrade like Honda's & Evo's etc.

My cousin just dropped a large amount of coin on his car just on the engine package, but what he got was something that's extremely strong & reliable.
It's also making 300awkw's on 20psi running bugger all timing & on PULP.

Sorry guys - the $40K is not just the turbo. The car is getting a number of other upgrades done as well.

                      That makes more sense.

I wouldn't mind knowing what 40K can get you these days, if you could find out more (only if the owner permits of course)

oh, and would pictures be asking too much???

ah ok well if 40k is everything then thats understandable. coilovers 3k swaybars 1k exhaust a few k tuning another few wheels/tyres another few and thats before you even get stuck into the engine/turbo
