Driver Side view mirror

Just looking at the drivers side view, looks like a quarter of the mirror is convex, Is this a new thing (could have sworn it wasn't like that on the car I test drove).

Takes a bit to get used to, but helps alot with blind spots.

When you get used to it, its very useful.
The line on the mirror is useful for knowing whether you can change lanes or not as once the car goes past the line on the mirror its too close to change lanes.

Still doesnt mean no head checks but i find it useful anyway.

Hmm I disgaree.

I believe it to stop the blind spot in the mirror. You know the point where the car in the other lane is just behind your wheel arch but you see nothing in your mirror.

I wouldn't take the above advice as it doesn't take consideration for the speed the person in the other lane is driving.

I would always look over my shoulder.....

Head check also means look over your shoulder but i thought this was pretty obvious.
