It would be worth a call to see if they will come to the party with regard to a moodification and a hopefully a partial cost-sharing
the council recently completely re-did my driveway (tore it up and new concrete); i think it was to do with it having a few cracks and being unsafe for pedestrians in our over-babied society oh well free driveway eh! went from scraping almost everytime to being completely flat

Very nice, Andrew ... if it was in a warmer clime ... you could have squatters on your doorstep. We don't eat much ... honest.

                    That's stunning Andrew.

I honestly can't wait to come back down that way, but I reckon I'll bring my car this time if I ever get around to putting some power in it.

I don't think I'll have problem's with the ground clearance though, or maybe I will

Look's just like my brother's GTI & my mum's mk2 trying to get in & out of my driveway.

                        hmmm.....Rosny eh?

My uncle had a house out at Moonah (many years ago). Similar driveway issue, but he placed two steel ramps at the crossover. Now, you may not find that successful, because your crossover incorporates a footpath...but it may just give you food for thought.

We used to live in Carawa Street, Mornington. (With all the possums from the Crown Land behind the house)

Hey Steve, my workshop is in Derwent Park, virtually Moonah.
Looked at a couple of units at Mornington but Rosny is an excellent place to live. My partner recieved a bit of a refund on her insurance after moving from Geilston Bay too!! (note to self, must contact Shannons!!)
Dont think there is much I can do about the driveway, just have to remember it when I get my Caddy here from the US in regards to the GTI spoiler it will get! As I say, if I go very slowly and carefully it doesnt quite rub in the MK5. Because the Mk4 that we have isnt lowered there is no drama there.
                          Cheers, Andrew

Almost anywhere in Hobart is an excellent place to live

My first house was in Mortyn Pl, Howrah. View of mountain, 100metres to the beach, easy trip to Cremorne to launch the boat off the sand ..... great pub food, damn, I know why I moved to Melb, but my heart is still in Tassie.

Thanks gareth, its a quiet clean place to live and the weather isnt really an issue. One thing we dont suffer from much is wild storms, occasionally windy, and when the weathers cool you can always put more clothes on, unlike when its hot!!! And when its cool it means stack loads more power in the GTI!!
I need to get rid of the top of that house in pic 2. Thats the city in that pic with the mountain behind it.
                                Cheers, Andrew
