I agree fully - but how many can you sell? JDM cars probably number in the gazillions, and our total - Worldwide production over 3 years would probably be 50 units we would expect to sell.

People have tried to copy our stuff cheaply (not this design) and failed because they took short cuts.

I'm with you Nismo - you build it for me at JDM prices & I'll happily test it to destruction & if its as good as ours, I'll market them & order a couple of dozen off you first order!

      C'mon guys,

The price is the price. Don't like it, don't buy it. Surgeon mates of mine with audi's wouldn't even blink at the price, as they make that in a few hours operating, or less if they are quick.

You want to see expensive, then try the medical game I'm in. I sell a LOT of "medical" bone filler at $1800 for 25cc's.

It's plaster of paris, pure calcium sulphate.

Cost to market, CE, TGA etc is enormous, hence the price.

Then you can go into a total hip, basically a forged highly polished precise ball joint for about $10k, and a revision hip, when that wears out is more like $15 to $20k.

It's a flippen ball joint! precise for sure, high tech, but you can buy a pretty nice ENGINE for that much, with a lot more parts!

Then we get into the Oncology ( cancer ) products I look after, where a kids bone can be replaced with a clever, lengthenable metal replacement at $67 500, built to measure.

It's basically a titanium pipe with a spring set in elastomer

THAT's an expensive pipe right there!

      Chillski dudes.

sooo how about those big turbo kits eh?

As they say. You gotta pay to play!

Id say in Australia APR and VF will be your only sensible options. I havent heard any gossip about local VF kits though. Seems APR are the only ones really pushing this along. No doubt theyre investing a lot into the market which is really quite small

Yes this seems to be the case at this stage, and Guy and Alex from Harding Performance have been quite forthcoming with info about it which is great. I will be keeping a close eye on developments for the AWD A3/S3 kit.

I have the VF RSS kit installed on my DSG.

I've been testing and thrashing it for a good 3000km's since installing it in July.

I drive it to work daily and its perfectly fine.

The DSG works fine with the BT kit, with no hard shifts.

I have been working with Lucas at Eurospeed, Garret at GIAC and Sean at VF.

If anyone wants to sit in the car or have a bit of a go feel free to msg me. Fatty Boomba (Tony) has the AWE K04 installed with stock fueling pushing 170 plus kwatw.

Im still developing my car further which I can not disclose at the moment. (Rods, pistons etc)

A Peloquin LSD is going in mid Sept.

Its important that when you go with BT kits, that you do your suspension, engine mounts and brakes.

In terms of drivability, if you do the appropriate upgrades to your car, it is actually easier to drive the car than a stock GTI.
