    Warranties.
    Peace of mind
To give you peace of mind, all new Volkswagen Passenger and Commercial vehicles with the exception of the Crafter are protected by a 3 year 100,000km factory warranty. This factory warranty covers you against manufacturing or material faults and includes a 3 year paintwork warranty. Your vehicle is also protected by a 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty for your complete reassurance. Your vehicle warranty cover commences from the first day the vehicle is registered or on the date its original owner first uses the vehicle.

    Extended Warranty*
To give you added peace of mind and the assurance of added security, you have the option to extend the factory warranty to suit your ownership cycle. If your Volkswagen was purchased new by you, we can offer you a 36 month /60,000km extension on your already existing Volkswagen manufacturers Warranty. Alternatively if your vehicle is already outside the Volkswagen manufacturers warranty period we can also offer you an extension of your factory warranty. Have the assurance that your Volkswagen remains a Volkswagen. For further information regarding warranty and extending your vehicles factory warranty, please consult your local Volkswagen dealer or refer to your owner's handbook.

thanks maverick, but I'm more after like a list or something that clearly defines what voids your warranty, what things aren't covered, and other general conditions.

Nothing is "clearly defined", but there's a small section in the manual.

Page 13 & 14 of the service manual.

It's very ambiguous, and basically gives them an out if you do anything aftermarket to your car, or use it in a competitive environment. I'd be surprised if they provide anything more specific.

It would be very interesting to see this and i cant see any reason why the details of their warranty shouldnt be fully disclosed.
