Brakes fixed

Many of you may remember my previous post where i listed my faults after the first 4 weeks of ownership.

The car went into VW to have these things rectified and needless to say some of them weren't

- I was told my squeeky brakes was normal, and it was due to the soft compound pads they use

- They couldn't find the sunroof blind rattle.

So anyway after another 1500kms of putting up with squeeky brakes i rang VW and told them it isn't normal and i didn't pay that much for a car to be embarrassed every time i came to a stop. I advised i didnt want the car back until the issue was fixed. She was booked in yesterday.
I also said whilst its there can you please have another look at the sunroof blind, and surprisingly the guy next to me at the service desk was also complaining about the same issue.
Finally i asked that they sent my 'passenger dipping mirror' as it wasnt done on delivery after some advice from guys on the forums.

Well brakes are fixed, no more squeeking, they replaced and cleaned all the pads rotors etc. Couldnt be happier

Dipping mirror is set - great lil feature.

Sunroof blind - They have heard the noise, and will need the car for 2 days to pull the thing apart, they have booked her in and will give me a courtesy car for the 2 days.

All in all much happier this time around.

I had a rattle in my sunroof when the rear was tilted as well as the wind deflector vibrated like crazy when the sunroof was open over 80Km/h. Took it in ... said they couldn't locate the rattle but fixed the wind deflector with some felt. Somehow in doing this the rattle from the rear up is also GONE!

I feel for you with the comment "they all do this" .. that is what forums like this are for .. to allow people to find out that this iss not the way it should be and get the car the attention it deserves.

Now all I have to do is get the button that says "self clean, polish and wax" to work and I'd say I'm set!
