Mine runs readings that are mostly at 16-20psi from the map sensor. The highest readings I have seen are 30-31psi.

This is from a first drive article when the TSI was released.

"While the turbocharger alone operates at up to about 1.3 bar pressure, the TSI runs at a maximum of 2.5 bar at 1500rpm.(from the supercharger)

With the supercharger alone delivering some 1.8 bar of pressure at just above engine idle speed, low-speed response is remarkable. At just 1250rpm, the 1.4-litre engine already produces some 200Nm of torque.

Maximum torque of 240Nm is delivered across a diesel-like band of 1750-4500rpm."

You're right - 2.5 bar is HEAPS. I may be wrong, but I don't think an STi Rex gets that much boost! (2.2 I seem to remember).

No Rex or any jap car runs 2.2 bar stock.

Basic rex is 1 bar boost or 14.5psi roughly. The STI runs about 18psi or 1.2bar

2.2 bar would blow up a subaru engine real fast.

I should know, my rex was running 1.6bar boost and making 300kw@wheels. a rex motor that could take 2.5bar would be in the 350-400kw region

and the nicest electronic 40psi matching boost guage I could find was from speedhut. A very close match at night, but not a super cheap option, was between $200 and $300 from memory...

everything else was mechanical and ran a tube from the inlet into the guage.
