  • Jetta and young children

We've got a ten month old and are using a rear facing baby seat in our jetta. As he gets heavier it's becoming increasingly difficult to get him out of the seat as the roofline is quite low and he has to be held horizontal close to the roof to clear the seat on the way out. Does anyone else have this problem and if you don't what am I doing wrong? I love the jetta otherwise but am getting to the point where I'm starting to look at the tiguan for the higher roofline.

We have our 9 week old in a rear facing seat in the Jetta.

The whole seat lifts in and out really easily with her in it......It then clips straight into the pram frame.

The only problem is that it is an illegal import (doesn't meet ADR's). Despite that, we apparently have the safest rated seat in the world, and it takes advantage of the ingenious ISOFIX mountings....
