  • One exhaust used more than the other? R32.

R32 owners, clean the inside bottom area of your tailpipes and go for a thrash, then have a look at the inside of the tail pipes..

Is the left tail pipe alot more dirty than the right? Is this due to the exhaust fumes reaching the left tail pipe first as its closest to the exhauist pipe from the engine?

Pretty sure this is due to the exhaust valve, which restricts flow to one pipe during lower rpm / pressure.

Do a search on flapper mod on google and you'll find a heap of info on how to resolve this "problem"

It's not a problem really, just a pointless thing VW put in the exhaust to start with

If you're worried about it, take out the flap, and enjoy the awesome sound of the R's Other than that, you've got absolutely nothing to worry about

Mine did that for a little while but it seemed to settle down and was more even.
