  • Coil Packs for 2.0 NA Jetta

    Hi all,

One of the coils in my Jetta (BVY engine), is failing, and I've decided I'm going to replace all the coils. I've called up the VW dealer who wants $107 per coil, however looking online there seem to be Audi R8 coil packs available at reasonable prices. Is the Audi coil pack (
06E905115F) suitable for use in the naturally aspirated 4 cylinders? Everyone online seems to only mentioned compatibility with higher performance engines. Note I'm not looking for performance gains out of this, just a better deal.

    Cheers,
    Michael

Where are you based? I’ve got 4 red packs from a 2.0tsi if you want them - just taking up garage space. I have no idea if the NA and turbo engines use the same packs sorry.

There was a recall on these. Might be worth asking the dealer if it's been done or not.

Thanks Umai, I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow and see if it's been done. Just using my rego they should be able to tell right?

        And rsp8 I've sent you a PM

          VIN would be ideal.

Rego would only be useful if they've got your customer details in the dealer's database.
