  • Scuff on guard

I noticed a small scuff on front right quarter panel today, just above the wheel. Its down to the primer so it wont buff out.

Its about 2 cm square, I was thinking of touching it up with some dealer touch up paint, anyone else got any ideas on how to rectify it?

We're doing an episode on this soon on our show because we had the same thing happen to our new S3! Arrghh!

Will try and get it up soon, but have another episode in production so it won't be the very next one - maybe a couple of weeks away.

    Cheers.

I have already booked it into the panel shop to be resprayed.

To get it done perfect, they said they have to blend it in with the door, which means taking the door handle and window line ruber seal off, which means taking off the inside of the door trim. They will blend the whole guard into the door and clear the lot as well. They do not need to blend it in with the bonnet or front bumper they said as they are on different angles. The front bumper is always going to look different to the metal above it as its painted on plastic and will always look a slightly different shade.

All this for one little scuff on the guard!

The car is only 2 weeks old so there is no way I am just going to leave it as it looks terrible.
