  • "GALA" setup in the HU?

    Anyone can please tell me what's this GALA function in the headunit setup menu for? THX!

    From what I can find it is an autospeed function which increases and decreases the volume from the head unit as your rpm goes up and down.

      As your road speed goes up and down not the rpm.

      In case you're wondering why it's called GALA it's because it's German, Geschwindigkeitsabhängige Lautstärkeanhebung. This roughly translates to Speed Dependent Volume Increase Radio.

        "RTFM" but seriously Russ is correct, the faster you go the higher the volume goes to counteract the noise from the engine, wind and tyres etc.

          It's not linked to engine RPM as I just pointed out. It's dependent on ROAD SPEED. It has nothing to do with engine noise.

                THX! bloody weird german engineering ... then this is really useless to me ... I rather hope the damn stupid HU can display chinese character, so that now just like it is swearing at you with all these stupid screwed up characters showing on it instead ...
