  • [Bris] Suspension Lowering

so i got the 18s on...
and now i wanna lower it...
went to peddars and got a quote for 715 to lower it 40mm or so...
so can anyone reccomend anywhere else(north side bris)?
and how much have you paid to get your MkV lowered.
    cheers

sorry not northside but worth the drive
    accurate suspension - woodridge
done some work on my previous car (suzuki) and mates race car setup etc.

just my opinion not a huge fan of pedders had problems with suspension on my suzuki. told me that i need a whole heap of stuff that wasn't nessary. lost their credability pretty quick!

      Anywhere but Pedders.

Buy yourself a decent set of coilovers if you want to lower that much then go to a good suspension fitter who has done a couple of Golfs and get it fitted.

Avoid Pedders like the plague. Do some googling, or just ask any decent car industry person you know. That's a lot to lower without shocks as well as Logsy has rightly pointed out. You could fit coilovers yourself, pretty easy over a spring swap!

yes, tried fulcrum they installed koni struts in my car. i dont believe that their customer service is as good as it use to be. They seem more focused on pushing there products and get you in and get you out without your cash quick. to the point of forgetting tighten the top strut bolt up properly. but a hell of alot better than pedders.

I've recently had some issues on my Cefiro with accurate. (my mechanic near him so its actually more of a pain not to go to them). PM if you want to know the exact issue.

I've actually had a pretty good experience with Browns Plains fulcrum. That said you need to hit them up about their prices. In the past I've hit them up and got a fair wack off. So at least worth asking.

Funny you should mention Fulcrum ... I was in there today (Moorooka branch next to Jax Quickfit who were repairing my tire) and got a quote for some Konis ... bleeding expensive: $1037 for my Pogo just to supply (no Jimmy ... I didn't ask about them fitting them ). I thought they (Konis) would be cheaper than that ... almost said "I could get coilovers for that price".

Anyway ... while I was there ... I asked about bushes (Super-Pro is it?) ... and they said they had nothing for the Pog ... didn't need it. So ... what's the story, Shane?

LoL $1k for shocks, and that expensive!

I got bilstiens at a super cheap rate on my Cefiro and the shocks alone, no fitting, no shipping no springs cost near on $2k!

This car is going to be cheap as chips to mod!
