Hi. Car coming up to 115ks,brakes starting to get noisy. Any ideas where to pick up genuine rotors and pads for front and back at a reasonable price? (Ecs was just shy of 1k) surely it’s not going to cost that much
Any help would be much appreciated.
Brakes Direct are really good and helpful, speak to Greg, he'll sort you out. They have aftermarket options along with their OE model..any reason why you want to go genuwine?
Thanks for the replies guys. Looks like overseas is a no go.
No reason for genuine, just figured they seem to have done the job for 115ks,they can’t be too bad

Yeah oem is defiantly very good good initial bite strong stopping on my previous mark 6 tdi fronts lasted 143k
But in new car have changed to ate ceramics longer lasting but most importantly low dust and easy to clean the dust does not stick like oem pads

New rear sway bar and linkages
Would the Dba Street series rotors and Remsa pads be sufficient from brakes direct? Any opinions?gti daily driven, rarely any spirited driving, just to and from work.
I have the dba t2 rotors paired with remsa pads for 5-6years now, no noise and less dust compared to oem. I can't stand brake dust and this option fit my budget back then.
Also try Tooley Imports, HSY and Imparts for OEM equivalents.
Although not a GTI, I have just replaced the front discs & pads on my T4 for $251. The worn pads had VW & Textar stamped on the back, so not just equivalents but OEM. Imparts sell them but you will need to know someone with an account.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.

Tooleys deal with Textar as well, and ship Aus-wide. They're the only one of the three that are happy to deal with the public. The other two prefer to deal with trade sales only.
Looks like I’ll give the dba rotors and Remsa pads a go. 450 delivered for front and back seems pretty good?how many hours labour should be charged to change them all?
Thanks for the links Etc that people posted
