  • Se02 Help

Hi all, Just brought a 2002 Se model golf for cheap with extremely low kms and only being able to afford this model as the gti was a bit out of my league at this point in time. This is my first ever golf before this I owned a 95 Subaru impreza wagon. What can I do to make my golf better (faster, better looking)?? Ie what mods are best for this sort of car?? Such as coilovers etc.

Also Ive been reading about the vag cable. What can that cable do for these cars?? Are they good bad etc? Because being able to modify a few things to the way I like it would be cool.

    Thanks for your help guys.

    Cheers Kris.

Welcome Kris, you've made a good head-start with your golf if you're signing up here

VAG CABLE: the VAG-COM computer system..it's the computer-related cord that plugs into your car to pull out error readings and make little adjustments on errors and the like. Sorry, not 100% in-the-know about this cable but that's basically what it does.

As for things to make your car modified and more like you want it, have a geeze through all the DIY threads you can find, look through the inspirational thread in general section for some awesome cosmetic and engine ideas for your Mk4, and go nuts!

I'd suggest coilovers to start, maybe some other touches in the suspension area, and other things like (perhaps..)wheels, window tinting, some minor engine works and you'll be laughin' in no time

Let's see some pics of your car!

cheers mickey, will post pics once i got my personalised plates on. Im going to get some wheels from tempe tyres in sydney. Mates told me they are good. All ive done so far with the car is got rid of the ebay job dvd screen and put a new headunit in, and changed the low beams lights to h7's which are much better but will be buying the high beams soon. They are so expensive. $100 bux for low beams and $100 for highs. Thanks for your help.
