V5 auto to manual conversion

So the v5 auto has been sitting on the driveway for 8 months looking for an auto box. Finally decided to grab a bargain chance at a v5 manual with a broken clutch, as I would be renewing the clutch and fly wheel this should be a problem, I watched a guy on YouTube swapping a jetta TDI auto to manual seems to be not too much hassle as long as I scavage the right stuff from donor


Whilst I have the gearbox off I was considering refurbishing it. How easy would it be to ratio change? ( lousy v5 5speed)

Any thoughts would be appreciated, I thought my VW journey was over. Seems not
