From a 98 vr6

I Picked up an 02 1.6 with 168k dirt cheap as its got damage to the front.
Needed a car as I get my licence back soon,

Will look Into a 1.8t swap shortly.

Plans are
- fix damage, (bonnet, fender, maybe bumper)
- get rwc and registered
-wheels
-coilovers
...
-vr6 turbo (when motor is built and finished)

I'll try my best not to ask questions that can be found searched

Good find! I got $550 for a set a couple of years ago. They are a lot nicer than the sport seats that came on later GTIs with much better side support and decent recessed headrests. Depending on the seats in your 1.6 you may need to retrofit the airbag loom and code it if you want to have working side airbags.

Also fixed the little hood latch that had snapped off.

Yeah bro, I'll let ya know!
Got defected in impound, so I just took all the running gear out, and it got chopped up.
there was no way that was getting a rwc without an arm and a leg.
