  • 12v mk3 in 4mo bora ?

Make this short and sweet , getting sick of the mk3 it's growing more issues slowly and it's not going to be worth it to fix them all.
I wanna move up to a 4mo bora but I was wondering if I'd have many issues putting my motor in it w/ gearbox bolting up , motor mounts Etc. Etc

Plans are to build the 12v with big turbo and the whole works . Then when it's ready swap everything in.

Will never legally be able to be registered in aus.
Why wouldn't you do 24v turbo (2.8 or 3.2) so much more power to be had than a clapped out 20 year old 12v?
Motor can be made to fit, lots of parts are compatible. Just picking the right bits to make it work
    Bora gone

I too think it would be a backward step. 1990 ECU tech, is woeful.

Would be so much extra work to make less power lol. I understand the "being different", but come on. There's a reason that people don't do it.

What would make more power? A big turbo 12v, or a big turbo 24v?

Oh well IDK haven't tested that before , but I the idea was to drive the bora around stock until the 12v was ready and built and then slap everything over , so I've got a car to drive around still .

The 12v with a big turbo would be able to make more than enough power for the 4motion driveline anyway

Sounds like your hearts set on it lol.

Coming from experience, you're going to spend so much money getting the 12v turbo to work, it will probably end up cheaper building the 24v, and give better results.
