    Times? Do you mean drag racing? - sorry I don't, I'm sure some have been to the drags though.

    What does a stock vs Chipped one run BTW?

      I've got an Oettinger chip and K04. I got a 14.3 IIRC.

        Sorry I should've been more specific. Yeah I meant 1/4 mile times.

        14.3 is not a bad time, but spending a few grand I would want a sub 14. There seems to be dozens of MKIVs in the States running in 13s and low 14s with minimal mods.

          I'm sure if you launched it hard enough with sticky tyres, you would be sub 14

          I've been to a couple of the watercooled drag days in the states, and you will find most of the cars are running heavy clutches, light flywheels & drag radials (oh, and limited slip diffs). the scene is pretty different over there to what we generally see

            mmm i might be wrong...but isnt a GTI in the states a VR6?

                  And the Jetta (aka Bora) is called a GLX if fully optioned VR6. all bells and whistles.
