Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

We offer a tune for that particular model the gains arent very impressive being a non turbo....the remap is carried out by removing and reprogramming of the the chip in the ecu..old skool style
The power and fuel economy of your vehicle can be enhanced or boosted in about an hour by remapping the settings on the engine control unit (ECU). By overwriting the vehicle ECU default map with a remap, which is programmed to enhance the car's overall performance, you'll experience an immediate improvement in the speed and power of your vehicle.
i also own a bora 4 motion and to be honest i havent even thought about investing even at trade price...

On very minor gains. If your keen on spending money do a 3.6 liter conversion or go turbo!!!!

The main advantage is that they dont run the proper VVTI which has the cam gears as part of the VVTI limiting what you can do to the camshafts . The AUE engine runs the older more conventional camshafts which you can have made to whatever specification that you want . You can use the remainder of the Valvetrain out of a 3.2 mk4 R32 engine to get bigger valves . The head casting is different so you cant swap the heads over and run the older style chain (unless youre willing to weld the new head ) . If you arent chasing a 9000rpm engine with 280+ degree cams then the easiest would be to source a mk4 3.2 with engine bay wiring harness from either an R32 or a later 2.8 Bora and an ecu to suit . A 3.6 presents a bit of a nightmare in such an old car as its FSI so you'd need to run a different fuel rail not to mention it runs a non-return fuel system with a different can bus signal .Bug_racer supports the rebellion of the euro revolution

i think if i was to go NA means i can run ITB's do forged pistons, massive cams, bore the block out and new everything in-between really, new fuel rails, but keep it street worthy and haldex controller as well, would go well
if turbo though il go twin turbo as lag is **** and I'm not going for stupid large power gains and twin turbo just sounds cooler tbh
