Drivers side door switch problem?

It seems I have inherited the common door switch problem of no courtesy light, no interior light, and car locking itself with door open after a minute or so after drivers side door is opened. Does anybody know how to fix this or can direct me to a good tutorial to fix it, because I am at a loss with this one.

Basically you will have either a dead lock position switch or the solder on the board may be dry and cracked.

Hahaha, holy crap, a quick read of that says that this is definitely not within my technical (or lack thereof) capabilities. Guess I will have to cop a reaming from my local dealer or learn to live with it. Great write up though.
