The other thing to look at if you want to increase pedal feel is braided lines. Not knowing much about golfs yet and different specs etc, if you put braided brake lines on you get less "bulbing" of the brake line, hence giving you more feel and fluid pressure.
Essentially when you brake, the high pressure of the fluid causes the rubber brake lines to "bulb" and swell, with braided lines, depending on quality etc, this is eliminated, making the full amount of pressurised fluid get pushed into the caliper, not forcing out the bulb in the rubber as well as pushing into the caliper.
