Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi guys,
The 24v vr6 in my Bora is starting to do my head in. When cold or coming up to temperature it runs perfectly but once warm it is an absolute dog.
It feels like a car with a dodgy cat converter which i thought it was initially as it was hard to kick over the other day after sitting all weekend, it kicked over then stalled then started fine second try.
The other day when it hit 40 degrees in Sydney it was almost stalling every time i tried to take off from the lights due to the inability to accelerate.
It's not throwing any codes and no cel light. Also if it was the cat/s wouldn't it be the same from cold?

    Any help/advise would be great.
    I'm at my wits end.

    Cheers,
    Nick

*EDIT* I should also mention she has new plus and coils in search of the issue which have done nothing to fix the problem.

My bad, you mentioned no codes... Hmm. Does your car have an ignition control module?
