Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

              My Mk4 GTi (Stella)

So I went and picked up some brand new front (22mm) and rear (24mm) sway bars for $400 together today and decided to put the rears on. Really good value for money. Handles like its on rail atm. I'm loving it!

Grabbed a white line 24mm the other day. Night and day on the stock suspension. Did you just put it straight on hard setting?

Just a bit of an update guys.

So since last time I have bought a ko4 off Seb when he came down for jamboree. Thank Simon for the heads up about it being on sale.

And I also recently purchased a set of KW street comforts I found on Gumtree.

So I'm going install the coils and front sway bar this weekend, it'll be huge help being a long weekend.

Turbo will be installed in the near future and going custom tune. Thinking about e85 as well but not too sure. Have all the supporting items (hpfp, bigger maf housing, fmic, and intake)

                      Cheers

                            Another Update guys,

The front sway bar has also been installed and purchased some Adjustable end links to suit, (realised the sway bar knocks on the control arms atm and working out the height i need to set the end links at so they dont knock with trial and error haha).

I have also purchased and installed a Turbo Intake Pipe (TIP) and the 3" bigger MAF housing from a MK3 VR6. (Had to use my 1.8T MAF sensor and swap it into the bigger housing).

Installed the high flow intank Fuel pump as well from VF Engineering. (Had to remove my basket from the tank and replace just the pump as the VF pump didn't come with the basket.)

The KW coilovers have also been installed.. It doesn't go as low as my Tuning art that I used to have, but im happy with it...cause Racecar

Suspension wise, I have everything covered and upgraded and now it handles like its literally on rails and is tail happy at times due to the Rear Sway bar (ive put it at the hardest setting.. cause yolo)

Christmas holidays around corner means, FMIC and turbo will be installed very soon.

Acquired a new set of wheels as daily as well.... cleaning process for the Rs's every week with a toothbrush is tedious haha

                            More news to come soon...

                            Cheers
