Left blinkers not working

Hi all, sorry this may have been answered before but was just hoping on some insight as electrical work isnt my strong point..
My left indicators arnt working at all in my 1.6 mk4 golf. I have read the hazzard switch can fail however my hazzard lights work perfect.
Does this mean its likley to be the indicator switch on the column?

Yeah, probably the stalk.

If you move it around a bit, they might work a bit randomly, but enough for you to confirm that the stalk has worn out.

If you're handy on the tools and have your wits about you, you can remove it, pull it apart, and clean and retension the contact strips.

I have wiggled the stalk about ect and nothing worked, sprayed some wd in there aswell. I will pull it out and clean it up!
