Rattling Sunroof driving me crazy!

Hi guys I posted this in my build thread but doesn't look like people wanna respond in that so I thought I'd start this haha

I've the past few weeks of having my GTI I've noticed a rattle that's starting to form in my roof which is coming from my sunroof [emoji16]
Only happens when it's fully closed. If I tilt the sunroof up the rattle goes away.
Either it's from when I close my door or going over bumps it's annoying haha

I've read a few forums of this being that the sunroof has worked its way loose and I need to remove the headliner to tighten everything back up.
Have any of you guys had the same issue?

I've got the same thing. I've taken headliner but couldn't find anything loose. I suspect the part that runs in the tracks has worn down and there is now room for it to move within the track. I just live with it, but interested to see if anyone has fixed the problem

Pull it apart and put it back together. It shouldn't rattle unless something has come loose. It can be a a pain to work on though.

hmm sounds like i need to pull my headliner off :/
its a rather intermittent rattle but enough to annoy me

So ill try and pull it apart some time next week and see how i go
Nothing is broken that i know of so i don't think ill need to be replacing the shade guides unless they're the cause of the rattle?
