  • Dirty Headlight Lenses - Suggestions?

    hi guys

one of the headlight lenses on my car sems to be rather dirty on the inside making it appear foggy when the lights are on. may seem trivial to some, but it just makes the car look like a boonger and is really starting to get up my bum...

after a close inspection i can see that its definitely not the outer surface but rather the inside and therefore cannot be fixed by the usual wet rub and polish technique

just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and how they have gone about fixing it?

was thinking of washing it out and then using metho to disperse the water afterwards but then i guess i face the problem of corroding the contacts/wiring etc etc, not to mention that i couldnt scrub/agitate the dirt on the inside as much of the assembly inside is not removable

pulled it out when i had the front bar off last week and the clear lens part is not removable from the rest of the headlight due to copious amounts of sealant from factory!

thought id post up before going a grabbing a replacement headlight

    siggestions?

so you must be wondering, what's "joey modding"? honestly, i dont really know, but it's the name given to a way of modifying one's headlight...

cool, although i might use a heatgun instead so the other half doesnt flip when she sees headlights in her oven

            thanks again
