  • Need a new ac compressor

My ac is blowing cool but not cold. Is definitely cooler with ac on but nowhere near 100%.
Engine bay fans running, compressor clutch engages.
Ac guy came today and gauges say good amount of refrigerant. He reckons the compressor is stuffed.

    So does this sound right?

I don't want to shell out for a new compressor and find out the issue is a tx or control valve or some other part at 10% of the compressor cost.
