Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Tommys Mk4 with k04 sleeper build

Hey guys, I brought a mk4 Gti with recaro seats at the start of this year , picked it up for 3k of some old guy with 140k on the cluster. The mk4 was stock as a potato.. First day of having it in my hands.. I decided to make it flutter. The next day I got a custom 3inch dump made, well two weeks of owening it was fun enough.. But like some people.. We want more power! Called Seb from Sydney and he said he had a s3 k04 kit for sale for chip chip, so then I got him to send it to tim from dub addiction.
meeting up with tim when the kit arrived, we discussed about how **** was gonna fit hahahha! S3 manifold and injectors on a mk4 and lines and etc. that night I droped my mk4 at dub addictions.
i told tim to take ur time. On top of the k04 upgrade.. I decided I need some new whizz.. So I told tim I want this car stealth/sleeper, so we decided to go with the spm side mount intercooler.. Things fat as a elephants boloz! On top of that we got new intake pipe for the pod filter.. And also a blue and red boost gauge to match my climate controll and my dash and head unit. So couple of months later.. Everything was in.. Was just waiting for the s3 injector spacers and my computer to get back from gav from qld.. Full custom ecu.
after many months .. Car was done and ready to rock my undies! So the day I asked tim if I could have the car back... Wich was a Friday and prinny night... Tim said he will test prinny for me.. And said the car goes good and it's running on 20psi of boost.
got the car that night and fk.. Torque steer is fkn scary.. Call me a bitch if u want.. This is the first fwd car I got built.
Well that night went prinny highway.

Red hoses are a dead giveaway that something's going on ...

Turbo is hidden .. Tim made a heat shield that covers the turbo and to reflect heat from going to my cooler pipes.
Haven't had any popos come at me yet... Hopefully never but if the day comes then yeah hahaha. Red hoses are just to blingy for me.. Black is the new shizz.
