  • New door modules?

Hey all my drivers door module is completely shot now And I need to get it replaced a.s.a.p where is the best place to buy from that won't cost a arm and a leg ?

I'm on the Gold Coast but don't mind paying shipping if need be ....

Cheers in advance for any help given

Not sure where to buy, but my passenger was 700 $ to get fixed.... My rear drivers hasn't opened for 6 months now, purely because of that price alone... It's not an easy job.. Some say it can be fixed for a few bucks with some solder, but you may only get one chance at it, so you'd want part handy

Are you talking about the actuator for the central locking??

Out of interest is the child lock on the broken door on?

I had one last week where the back door would not open. Ended up removing the inner door card and I was able to just get into the gap in the door frame to turn back the child lock, door still would not open.... After a couple of minutes of locking and unlocking the doors from the drivers door lock it came good....

The customer didn't want to worry about getting me to pull it apart and see what the issue was but I'm guessing that it is either going to ba bad solders or dirty contacts.

The door lock module that locks/unlocks the door , turns the interior light on and off , controls the light in the door , the buzzer for the head lights and all that other stuff the micro switches are dead in half of it and I'd just like to swap it out for one that works but no idea where to buy on new from

don't they sell them on the various american/uk parts sites (ECStuning or psituning etc)
or rip it out and pop into your local appliance repair store or find some geeky friend who knows how to solder...

I got one of these for the beetle. Haven't fitted it yet as the old one hasn't completely died but is on the way out. Pretty sure the RHD and LHD versions are different so I went for the UK option.
