  • Buying from OS - what company do you ship with??

I'm looking to order an exhaust from the UK, but the seller has said that I should try to find my own courier/freight forwarder etc as they don't have time to hunt for a good price. They said that I should expect to pay around 150pounds (their standard service is with DHL, and that will cost almost 350pounds ). I have also been quoted around US$300 to ship an exhaust from the USA.

I have looked at a few companies, but they all seem to be at least double the above quotes. So I ask you guys, who/what companies specifically have you used to import parts (particularly an exhaust) from the US or UK?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My mate is just about to have an exhaust shipped with DHL from the UK for 175. They had to repack it to get the weight/volume right.

I would expect the US to be better TBH.

What is the exhaust you want? I have had a great system made here in Adelaide
3inch turbo back in stainless with sport cat for $1900. Which I considered to be very reasonable.

That sounds more like it! I would happily pay UK175 for delivery. They base it on "Volumetric Weight" which is way more than the actual weight. The exhaust is a Milltek cat-back. I had worked out (based on shipping of 150 pounds) that it would cost around AUD$1100 landed. To get the same one through a local supplier is $2999 (incl fitting). I will see what they can do regards repacking to minimise the volumetric weight.

If this works out for you please let me know the details! Would love to fit one of these bad boys to the Bora

I think its gonna end up being more than that, but I'm sure it will be less than $1500 which is still really good. Get in contact with Shaun from AmDTecnik in the UK. He will let you know if there are any still available (it was a special group buy order). Make sure you tell him that Nathan from Melbourne put you onto him
