(strut top bearing and bushes, control arm bushes) They only flog out because the old ones are worn to stock height, when applying new angles and pressures they wear out. For example, I rolled on original control arm bushes for 120,000 on stock suspension, when swapping to coils they made a clunk, after 10,000km or so the clunking stopped as they had worn into the new position.

My current strut tops have been in for 90,000km on coils and air, car was basically touching the road. II'm only just seeing the first signs of sagging wear.
Yeah I Agree with what you're saying about the ancillary equipment, my comment and experience relates to the FK's I've had that are fk'd prematurely for the distance they've travelled. The struts have no rebound on them, compress the strut and it stays compressed. On one side of the fronts there is an obvious knotch felt when compressing the strut. It stops on rebound at that point. The helper springs have been compressed to the point that they've damaged the coil from impact with the coil above.

Have heard similar experience from mates and forums of other entry level coil overs on a variety of cars.

Helper springs in the cheaper coils are normally completely compressed anyway, they are only there for spring alignment when on a hoist/in the air.
That's why they usually get turned into pen holders rather than installed

I drive some pretty windy roads to and from university every day. I'm wondering whether fk's eliminate much body roll? Stock suspension is fairly boaty

why not replace sway bars with uprated items if all you want to eliminate is roll?
the mk4's are known to be a bit soft in that regard?

Well I want to lower the car aswell, and I figure stiffer suspension would have to help with the body roll.
I guess I'm just asking how they handle in the tight and twisties?

I don't think the FK's alone will help a whole lot with the body roll, Specially if you plan on removing the original swaybar (full boat handling spec).
They do make the whole car feel stiffer tho.

If you want awesome cornering then i'd definitely suggest you go the upgraded swaybar(s).

I've put nearly 10k on my FK Streetlines, I find them quite firm, to say the least. Over 80kph they're fine, but the rebound damping gets a bit flustered at low speed. They're fine if you don't mind crawling over speed humps and avoiding all potholes. Can't really compare them to Konis or other more expensive brands, definitely built to a price. My kinda price lol. I replaced all of the front end bushes and bearings at the same time.

Ive got kw v1's on my golf and find them not too harsh. Obviously not as soft as springs. Thingd start to shake on adelaide roads. Havent driven it for a while because of my conversion issues but ive installed h&r sway bars too so ill be keen to feel how it handles. Also i did a refresh of all bushes too as the stock ones were knackered when i installed my coilovers.

It looks like they're legit and at a really good price!
Just looking for some insight from my fellow dubbers, should I buy them?, link is below.

Otherwise, where has everyone else purchased their fk's from?
                    Cheers
