Oil leak

So recently purchased a new valve cover gasket for my mk4 gti (the cheapy one from ecs) and it leaks more than the old one I took out. It also seams that I have a leak coming from the half moon seal under the timing tensioner cover. I'm just wondering how difficult a job it is to change the half moon seal, and am I in any danger of screwing up my timing?
Has anyone bought the full pack from ecs (and ecs brand) with the valve cover seal, tensioner seal and half moon seal? was it good quality?

Don't bother getting any more gaskets from ECS. Find yourself the half moon and CCT gasket online and you also need to buy a CCT compression tool. Once you have the cam cover off and the CCT compressed you can undo it and then with a bit of fiddling get the half moon and gasket in.

You can't change the cam timing, so you'll be good to go. I did this the other week on our A4 the old seal was rock solid.

where did you get you gaskets from?

Mine were left over from a gasket kit I had bought for another job. I have seen them separately though. I am checking the part numbers for you now.
