  • Matte colours

This is only just an idea at the moment so dont go all crazy just yet. Firstly, I love the colour of my car - don't get me wrong but could you imagine that colour in matte. It hasn't been done at all to my knowledge but I personaly think it would look the ducks nuts! My car's paint has seen better days so this is just a random idea I've had that I thought I would share with you all.

An idea of the colour/texture I would be looking at:

    What do you think?

is that colour really that flat? I don't think, or rather it doesn't seem that flat too me. havin said that.

    NICE.

I would be nice to have a flat, with a tint of metallic in there. so it wouldn't be completely flat, but have a slight "sheen" to it. I think completely flat wouldn't look too good. (i could be wrong thoough!) I think if you go easy on the clear coats (ie, just have say 2 layers of clear) you get a "sheen" to the paint, but I'm not exaclty sure. defiantly worth having a look into!

yea that's getting there... a little lighter and maybe more metallic?

EDIT: lighter isn't the right word. maybe brighter?

It's more of a satin color (semi gloss) than matt.

                I like it.

Hmmmm - black has been done a gazillion times. I quite like the idea of a blue matte if it were a similar colour to mine now...

I do love the colour of my car, just trying to think of a way to better it if I can (IMO).
